Brief Description:  Fuel Pump Fitting Repl/Call to Vetterman

I screwed in the fuel pump overflow plug into the fuel pump. I cut off about 20'' of the 1/4'' tubing that will be attached to the overflow plug. The 90° fitting on the left side of the fuel pump was taken off and replaced with a tee fitting. This allows a restrictor fitting to be placed into the tee fitting. A line was then added to the restrictor fitting and the fuel pressure manifold transducer and all fittings were tightened.
I called Larry Vetterman, who made the exhaust system. I asked him about the positioning of the hangers on the mounts vs the engine. His answer was that the routing just needed to be unobstructed. He also told me that the metal hangers had to be cleaned off, because they had an oil coating applied to them. This oil had to be cleaned off; otherwise, the hangers would never be able to be tightened. Larry also pointed out that the exhaust pipes had to be rotated so that they were at least at a 25° angle, preferably up to 30°. My pipes were only at about 15°, so I rotated them downward to about 30°.
I decided to reposition the hangers from the mount to the bolts on the oil sump. I took the hangers off the mounts. I wiped down the hangers with enamel cleaner, per Larry's advice. I wiped down the ball-joints with Mouse Milk. The exhaust pipes can now be rotated very easily.
