Brief Description: Riveted Ribs 1 & 2 to Right Tank #1
Took out ribs 1 & 2 from right tank.Wiped down ribs and flange lines on skin. Applied Proseal to flange lines & then rib flanges. Clecoed ribs into skin. Used ?? on each rib to try to pull rib/skin together. Dipped 3-3.5 rivets in Proseal and then placed into all holes. Placed painter's tape strips over all rivet heads. Used rivet gun w/swivel set to rivet with. Cleaned gloves and bucking bar w/MEK after each side of each rib was completed, Took out cleoes, added rivets, and riveted skin/ribs together. Applied Proseal over all rivet shop heads and along both sides of each rib. Mixed up approx 80 grams of Proseal. Cleaned up all clecoes, ribs, rivet set, and tank skins.
Need to drill out one rivet at LE of rib 1. Shop head was pushed over when rivet was worked. Proseal will need to be removed as well. Might have to make a doubler for reinforcement, ala ribs 3 & 4.
