Brief Description: Rivet Half of Two Ribs (3 & 4) on Left Tank
Finished laying Proseal on fuel pick-up tube fitting and on nutplates on tank cover plates. Wiped off all ribs and tank skins with MEK. Laid Proseal on top of rib 4, left tank, and on rib line on tank skin. Back-riveted rib to skin. Had problem with rivet at leading edge. Flange tab was cracked by rivet, because rib was pulled during riveting. Attempted to rivet a second rivet, but it popped out. Drilled it out and added a doubler on top of flange. Riveted a 3-5 rivet in place, but it is not holding. Need to drill it out. Wasted time by spreading Proseal on bottom side of rib 4. Had to wipe this off because I would like to back-rivet all internal ribs first. Placed rib 3 in place with Proseal on top side and on tank skin. Back-riveted rib to skin. Had to drill out second-closest rivet at leading edge. Replaced rivet. Placed Proseal on both ribs' rivets and flanges. Clecoed bottom side of skin to ribs.
