Brief Description:  Determined New Position of Trim Cable Nut

I worked on repositioning the nut that holds the elevator trim cable to the elevator access panel. The nut has to be moved forward about 3/8". Because the trim cable is angled downward from the elevator spar, the nut and bracket sits higher away from the access panel the farther forward the nut is moved. A doubler made out of .032" material was made to be riveted between the nut and the panel. The doubler was drilled to the bracket welded to the nut.

Tape was applied to the panel and the surrounding area on the elevator. This allowed me to make reference marks for locating the bracket with the nut screwed onto the trim cable.
