Brief Description: Faired Edges to Fairings/Cleaned Fairings
The empennage fairings were laid out and the fit was checked on each. The aluminum edges on the HS, VS, elevators and the top of the rudder were filed at a 45 degree angle to provide a chamfered edge to the fairings. The die grinder was used to smooth the edges. Some of the fairings needed to be cleaned up because of many years of grime. 120 grit sandpaper was used to clean up most of the fairings.
