After Walt sprayed the dark blue over the stencil, the light blue, with additional xyrillic pearl, was sprayed over the dark blue thru a rubber mat. This gave the letters a textured look. Walt then reapplied the letters and numbers in the center of the stencil. The entire stencil was again sprayed with the lime green, which applied the 1/8'' border around each letter and number.
