Walt Halloran wrapped the entire fuselage with plastic. We determined the location of the N number and the plastic was cut out of that area. The static port and top skin lines were used as reference for the layout. The opening was taped. Walt had a stencil made of the N number printout I had made for him. The stencil of the letters and numbers had a border of 1/8" around each. This border was removed from the stencil. Each character was removed from the inside border on the stencil and saved. The stencil was laid on the fuselage and pressed in place. The area was sprayed with the dark blue.
