Brief Description: Riveted Part of the Instrument Top Skin
With Fred Coblentz' help, we were able to rivet the left side of the top skin. Fred used the rivet gun and I laid upside-down on the floor using the bucking bars. I unscrewed the shelf under the ribs and moved it aside to be able to reach the rivets along the left rib. We used AN470-4-8 rivets in the first eight holes along the longeron at the front. The rest of the rivet line used 4-7 rivets. Three of the last few rivets will have to be pull rivets because of lack of access to the shop side of the rivets by the fuselage bulkhead.
