The 16 AWG starter wire that Van's recommends was run around the engine and tie-wrapped to the starter cable. The jumper cable that the wire replaces was removed. A ring terminal was crimped on the end of the wire and the terminal was loosely screwed onto the starter. I want to add terminal nipples on each end of the wire before tightening the nuts.
