Brief Description: Made Jumper Wire for Starter/Roll Servo Wires
While reviewing Van's drawing OP-10, I noticed that there was an optional drawing for the lightweight starter circuit. Van's recommends that the jumper wire on the starter should be removed and replaced with a 16 AWG wire from the starter relay to the starter. I called Van's re this and Chris-Builder Support said that there are two starter solenoids in the starter. The additional wire will reduce the load on the 2 AWG starter and also provide a second path of power to the starter. I cut off a length of 16 AWG and crimped a ring terminal onto one end.
More 22 AWG wire was found and a length was cut for the last roll servo wire. A Dsub pin was crimped onto the wire and the wire was labeled. The wire was then added to the 9-pin connector.
