Brief Description: Added Screen to Baffle/Snapped Alt Terminal Bolt
I drilled out the scat tube flange off the baffle and inserted the vent screen that I left out of the flange. The flange was riveted back in place.
A terminal cover needed to be inserted over the alternator cable nut. The cover was run over the wire and then forward to the terminal and alternator nut. Two clamps had to be removed for the cover to be moved forward. After the cover was placed up to the alternator, I tightened the nut on the alternator terminal lug. Unfortunately, using the torque wrench, the lug was snapped off. I should have used another wrench to hold the second nut while tightening the cable nut.
I called Plane Power, who made the alternator, and they asked that the alternator be shipped back to them for repair. I shipped the alternator to them on 9/7/11.
