Brief Description: Made Cardboard Box Simulating Fuel Sel. Cover
I began work on making a cover for the fuel selector and a bracket for the manual trim using cardboard. The top piece will be cut out of .063 and will extend over the floor panels. I will screw the top to the floor panels, drilling holes for the two existing holes and adding two more holes at the front edge of the floor panels. Nutplates will need to be added to the lower floor panel, F-639. The sides of the top cover will be bent down as flanges and the sides will be screwed to the top cover along the top. Nutplates will be riveted to the flanges. The spar sides of the sides will be bent with about 1 1/2" flange. This will have a few bolt holes drilled thru for connecting bolts to the spar. The sides will be inserted between the center floor panel and the floor stiffeners. The floor brackets, F-699, will be placed on the outboard side of the floor stiffeners. Each of these brackets will be bolted to the floor stiffeners and side covers, as well as the spar.
