Brief Description: Checked the Range of Movement of Stick/Elevators
Polished up a steel strip 1/2''X20" on the Scotchbrite wheel and then primed it. This strip will be used for the rudder cable attachments (F-6119), F-459, and F-693. I inserted the F-689 control rod and double-checked the range of elevator movement with the control stick. With the elevators fixed in the neutral position, the stick is at 0°. The elevator bellcrank is in a neutral position. The elevators' up limit is about 25.4° (range is 25-30°). The down limit is about 23.4° (range is 20-25°). I used the Dremel with the cutoff wheel to extend the trim hole cut-out in the left wing spar to the inboard end of the spar. This will allow the wing to be taken off and put back on without pulling out the manual trim cable. Used files to smooth the edges.
