Brief Description: Primed Floor Panels/Control Rod F-689 Work
Scuffed up the floor panels with a Scotchbrite pad and then cleaned them up with the enamel cleaner. Primed both panels.
I looked again at the position of the control stick. The plans say that the control column in the stick-back position with its bottom arm should be only 1/8" from contacting bulkhead F-604. I had over half an inch clearance in the stick-back position. Took the control rod out and screwed the rod-end bearings out to the maximum allowable distance, ensuring that the rod-end bearings still had more than half the threads engaged. Reinstalled the control rod and found that the clearance has been reduced to approx 1/4". Pulled the rod back out. The control stick is almost vertical and the bellcrank is vertical.
