Brief Description:  Bent Flap Rod/Armrest/Fwd Left Seat

I was ready to drill pilot holes for the end flap bushings and talked with Jeff Paden about the bent flap rod. His caution was to check the movement of the center part of the flap rod moving and either wearing out the center bushing or pulling the bolts from that area. I clamped the flap to the bench to check the movement. The center part of the flap rod rotates and moves around the axis over 1/4''. I talked with Bob Sprang about bending the flap rod. He said that he has been able to bend steel rods and is willing to bend this one.

Had Dad drill out the tack rivets holding the right armrest in place. He used Dremel tool with a sander to enlarge the interior of the ends of the elevator push rod F-689. He fitted the VA-114 in the ends and then smoothed the ends of the F-689. He marked off the positions for using the drill press to drill the F-689 and the VA-114.

I cut out the left corner of the left forward seat pan on the band saw.
