Brief Description: Riveted Back Stop Brackets/Flap Rod Bent
Riveted angle brackets to F-605F. Clecoed left seat floor and left baggage floor in position. Put both seat backs in position. Filed points of all four hinge pins to points. Pinned seats with pins. Both seats fit properly in hinges, as well as back braces into angle brackets. Took seats out.
Clamped flap into position. Determined that the flap was approximately 0.10'' higher in the center than at either end. After much deliberation, I decided to drill the end bushings to the F-605C's at a position above the seat floors, rather than where the bushings set currently. This will make the center bushing set higher. I will make shims to place under the bushing to fill the gap. The pilot hole in the left F-605C is out of alignment, but a new hole will be too close to the pilot hole, A doubler will need to be made up to be placed on the front side for the bolts to be placed through.
Changed plans re the flap rod. Will attempt to bend rod straight. The bent rod would cause the center bushing to either bind up or wear because of excessive movement around the center point. 5/24/08
