Brief Description:  Working on end main rib, and pitot line

A couple days ago, I went to Wichita to pick up the .032" sheet with which I will make wing skins, and tank baffles. I spent most of the day reorganizing the garage. I did take about an hour to actually work on airplane parts. Picture #1 shows the angle I fabricated to sit inside the radius of the end of the outboard main rib. As this is where the W-414 aileron bracket attaches to the wing, I'd like a bit more structure there. I'm sure it doesn't really need it, or it would be on the plans. Then I started on the pitot tube. The drawing shows the hole through the spar flange at station 73.625. I used a step drill to make a nice 7/16th's hole. I have drilled out the rivet on either side of the hole, as they were underdriven anyway. When I put the AN elbow on, it seemes to shank out before getting tight. So, back to fabricating. Picture #3 shows the .032" doubler I made. It will pick up the 2 rivets I drilled out, and provide 'more beef' for the pitot tube.I will dimple it tomorrow, prime and install it.
