Brief Description:  Strake Baffle Mouse holes

The mouse holes were carefully marked and cut with my cordless jigsaw. I used permagrit files to adjust the shape so they were nice. You are the only one who will see these in this log once the strakes are built. I could have been pretty rough but its not the philosophy of the build. Yes it adds time but only by making a step longer, its not like I could rush something and then do another job on the build that day. Things don't seem to work that way.

Pic 1 was something I saw in someones else's build log. I've trimmed a grinding wheel to just less than the diameter of the foam that needs to be removed. The shot shows a nice little trough between the glass. I'm not sure how else you'd do this efficiently.

Pic 2 shows that I've filled each mouse hole with some dry micro and layed in a stripe of peel ply.

Pic 3 is after cure, the peel ply removed and I did a quick clean up of the edges.

The plans have you just leave this open as the exposed foam is fuel resistant. I couldn't do it like that, sorry.
