Brief Description:  Nose Gear Air seal 2

The nut plates took a while but it's a fun sort of job. Drilling, countersinking and riveting.

Pic two shows that I can get a plastic sock around the actuator through my plate and no need to stick or join the plastic. Just a hole in the middle works pretty well. So this test worked. I have since found a bit of sail material for the job.

Pic 3 shows another time soak where I had to countersink the nutplates into the receiving piece of nose strut cover. I did glue the plate down and ensured that the 5 minute glue I used also sealed the bare foam. Take my word for it, that plate now fits and is glued in place.

By the Way ... these last two log entries have been spread over a month. It's one of those fill in jobs that I do on the side.
