Brief Description:  Strake Design 1

I have spent many weeks now working on the strake design. I'm working with a much smarter person and we have been doing design work in Profili airfoil design software. I've spent probably 30 hours printing out airfoils and pasting then together at full scale.

The idea is that we will get reduced drag with properly curved strakes. The issue is to design them using a NACA 67xx section that can blend into the plans Eppler 1230 (modified) wing AND blend into the spar AND have the same or more fuel AND not be higher in the maximum thickness than the longerons AND blend back to the wing at Butt line (BL) 55.5 where there is the full Eppler shape - Got it?

Pic 1 is just a few of the big templates I've made. Pic 2 shows one of the issues with the lines drawn into the spar - which is not acceptable.

Pic 3 is a bit of prep. I've given the CS Spar two coats of EZ Epoxy with peel ply and cure between each coat. The idea is to have this fuel resistant epoxy on all fuel areas, starting with the spar.
