Brief Description:  Winglet Reference Point

While not in the plans, I read of a method to match the winglets perfectly. Set up one side per plans and the other set to that one so its a matched pair. To do this you need a reference point at exactly the same place on both winglets and a point on the fuselage to measure to that is exactly in the center.

I hope I've done the fuselage one 'perfectly' as you might see in earlier logs. I checked the winglets pretty carefully for exact sizes and they seem the same. If I cut the bottoms out correctly I should have a nice pair. If you'll pardon the phrase.

I just chose a reference point that was a nice triangle from known points and made my mark on each winglet. Then I spent an hour or so double and triple checking and finally made a hole, then checked again and again.

Looking good I glued in a little piece of welding wire... and checked again.
