Brief Description:  Canard Jig setup

I really worked a few days to get those canard jigs straight on the table and bonded in place. I even used my very old crack clamps from the days when I fixed guitar tops and the occassional violin. Those little clamps were perfect for putting some tension into the fishing wire lines.

All this was to ensure my jigs were perfectly lined up per the plans. I had the jigs from the guy who CNCed the cores. What could go wrong?

I glued the canard cores onto the jigs and used all those nice straight edges to make sure it was straight. OK?

But it wasn't. The leading edge had a bow in it and it seemed to be made of rubber. I'd place them straight and they would come out wrong.. just a little but enough to be a problem.

I pulled the cores off the jigs and had three reglues and they were still wrong. This was over many many hours with a few sleeps inbetween. Agggghhh!!!
