Brief Description:  Right Wing Top Skin1

This was about a 12 hour layup. Michael was again invaluable. We spent about 2.5 hours just getting micro on the foam. I might go to a very slightly wetter mix of micro, the weights will be very similar and it may speed things up. We also really need one more person who knows what they are doing to help at this stage too.

After a break we layed out the first ply of UNI. I tried rolling it up on a length of PVC pipe as prep and this made laying it out a touch easier. We'll probably nail a technique by the end of the build! We did spend less time getting the fibres straight.

Once in place it gets wetted out with a roller. Has to be the BEST method ever for getting the epoxy on correctly.

The third pic shows after two ply of UNI at at 45 degrees opposites there is one more ply of UNI now along the wing just above the aileron line. After that, a ply of BID at the tip and then some peel ply and UNI reinforcements on the inboard hardpoint.

This layup had a lot of prep and a few steps. The leading edge has a graduated cut for the three plys and was a challenge upsidedown on my knees. Good thing there is soft carpet on the floor.
