Brief Description:  Bottom spar cap right layup

It was a very long layup, 12.5 hours in fact. We had problems with getting the fibers straight and in the end we just removed these and went again...so it all took a while.

The run of cloth is longer than the CS spar and I think this made it harder to correct fibre direction. Anyway we sorted it and in reality as you squeegy the plys down there is a little movement as the fibres spread out.

We really worked hard at getting a good fibre resin ratio. I'm confident of no excess air at all, it looked 100% no air in the layup and just like a solid piece.

We finally got to peel ply and weight the job as in pic three. It was a long one but next spar cap will be easier as our technique is always getting tweaked. I was extemely fortunate to have Michael's skills on this one. It would be very difficult to do alone. There is a lot of picking out of threads and careful work needed.

We are done, I had the room at 26C from the night before and held there for the layup and then another day for the cure. Everything will get a post cure later. For now its all good and what follows is a big clean up as prep for the skinning of the bottom of the wing.
