Brief Description:  CS Spar Outside Hardpoints 1

What did I say in the last log... "a nice small layup for a change." Insane. I started at 9am had a couple of short breaks and finished about 11:10 pm that night. I was getting a little hungry. I'll post this over two logs but it was a one day event. small layup.... HA!

I'd already added flox around the hard points a second time to get a nice transition and it took a few hours to clean this up. I was very very carful and used a razor blade on the metal to remove all the flox and epoxy that had found its way around the edges. Not hard work, it just took a while. I wanted to retain the alodine coating and pretty much did.

Then a lot of planning on the sizes and position of the 3 plys of UNI and one ply of BID. I had plenty of off-cuts from the sheer web to use up too. I drew on the spar which always makes positoning easier later.

Pic three shows the foil wet out in case I haven't put a pic of this in anywahere else. I make the foil the size of the required piece rather than drawing on it except for the line down the middle here as each pices shown become two. I might even cut out and just make a small gap next time for my pizza cutter.
