I've jumped ahead to Chapter 13 with the idea of making the nose before I glass the outside of the fuselage. It doesn't matter to make the NG30's now in any case.
I just had enough foam left. I traced the outline from the plans and used carbon paper to mark the foam.
They were cut out with a jigsaw using a metal cutting blade.Then I taped them together and finished off by hand so they are exactly the same size.
4 Plys of bid on the inside is required. The glass was cut to oversize and I've taped the edges after getting the bias at 45 degrees. This way on such a small piece it will lay down nicely with thing straight. Everything is tagged Left/right/top bottom amd 1 to 4. Sure makes it easier later.
