Brief Description:  Firewall Datum and setup

The key to setting out this assembly is to have the firewall clamped to the table exactly on the centreline and correct in every plane.

Once there is one correct point to hang everything off, the sides can be added, then the rear seat, front seat, IP and F22 in that order. Then the uprights can be added and the whole thing jiggled until its in line and centred.

Most important is to have the firewall and F22 parallel and in line as the spar and canard rest on these points and the plane will not fly straight if these are out. The other three bulkheads are less important but still worth some effort.

Once things were lined up I had within 3mm over the length and within 0.5 of a degree or less and being spot on in many places. The longerons are within .05 of perfectly flat. F22 where the canard is taken off is also in the same flat plane as the longerons.

Small blocks were then nailed to the table to assist re-assembly
