Brief Description:  Windscreen install

The windscreen install was a multi-day process. The first step was to mount the windscreen to the fuse by gluing it to the flange of the canopy. I used the same Lord 7545 adhesive I used on all of the windows. I used tape to hold it tight to the flange. The next day I came back and riveted on 5 clips that "locked" it in the lower edge of the windscreen to the forward upper fuse. I then used micro to create a filllet transition beteween the bottom edge of the plexiglass and the fuse. Finally I applied 10 plys of 9oz BID fiberglass strips of varing widths to permanently secure the bottom edge. One trick i did was to tint the epoxy black so that from the inside of the cockpit the fiberglass that shows through the windscreen would look more "finished".
