Brief Description: Cutting and bending the longerons
Starting the side skins today. First step is to cut the longerons to length. I used a combination of my band saw and a hack saw in a mitre box to cut both the mid and forward fuse longerons to length. I then marked the rivet lines, bend, and twist lines. Then using the bend template, I loaded each longeron in my vise and proceeded to whack the longerons with a mallet while pushing in a specific direction to set the bend. With Toni's help and lots of sweat equity I finally got the longerons bent to an acceptable point. I finshed up by twisting the forward longerons per the plans.
