Brief Description: Built the "Steve Mauler Memorial Paint Booth"
With the help of a friend, Mel Chandler, we built a paint booth inside my garage. It has a filter for incoming air. A filtered squrirrel cage fan for output air, a small door on each side and a big "door" on the end for big parts. I am using the Citation 4 stage turbine HPLV paint system that I barrowed from my friend Steve Mauler before he passed away suddenly (tha fan was also built by him). This paint sprayer is nice because the Stewart Systems water borne paint I am using requires a lot of air flow and I would of needed a HUGE compressor otherwise. The Citation paint spray system also supplies forced fresh air through a breathing mask, which I think is a real very good excelent idea. Mel is going to paint his plane first (a Zenith 750) then I'll paint mine when its ready.
