Sanded nose doors and surrounds again, and adjusted edge gaps.
Proudly place my new nose weight holders in the nose, and discover they are a woftam... I had been working from memory about the nose layout, as the door was fixed for filling. Tubes don't fit, and there is not enough headroom to fit the weights, and they obstruct the nose gear pivot bolt. Fail, fail, fail...
As previously described, decide on a new layout and make a new longer tube with the same method as before, but with a taped cardboard mailing tube for a form. I also glass over the ends. 6 x UND 45/90. Peel plied the joins.
