Brief Description: Starter cable end crimped, Alternator B-lead end c
Starter cable end crimped, Alternator B-lead end crimped. Starter I-lead end crimped. Red Cube splices made. Initial test fitting of starter and alternator cable routing. A little different from my -8 as this is horizontal induction with more going on above the sump, so there is less room for routing. I did not know how spoiled I was with that. You have to fit the massive 2 AWG starter cable, the red cube lines (three) and the alternator lines with the 8 AWG B-lead on one side. And on the other side you have the mixture control and main fuel line to the servo. Very tight. Made standoffs for adel clamps - similar to Lycoming p/n 73152 - out of mild steel. I had 4130, but decided mild steel might be better here as it is softer and more maleable, less likely to fatigue crack from vibration.
