Cowling - leveled fuselage, marked spinner hole. Cross laser marked cowling. It took some weight to get the left side (pilot) level as there is some twist in the top cowl. But that also means that more will need to be cut off the top cowl left hand edge, which is not good. Marked top aft cut line. This cowl will be a series of reasonable compromises in terms of final finish. The surface is fantastic - will be very few pinholes. but the accuracy of the spinner area is pretty poor - my old cowl on the -8 was better in all respects except for the final finish. It just fit much nicer out of the box. Trim margins on this cowl are very, very tight. More to come on that.
