Brief Description:  Rudder Bottom Fairing Done!

Sanded final micro over rivets. Added Rage Gold to a few low spots and pinholes. Primed, more pinholes. Tried glazing spot putting - did not work very well. Mostly made a mess. This is the new white Bondo "Pro" version. The older rust colored stuff worked far better. Not impressed. Ended up sanding nearly all of it off. Waste of an hour. Fill primer - allowed to dry. Wet sanded and then mixed up primer/sealer with some micro. Found this trick from another builder - Milke B. Great suggestion. Worked like a charm. Dried throroughly and after some light wet sanding with 320 grit we have a winner. Last of the pinholes gone. Rudder bottom is done! During the waiting times, I went back and drilled the wingtips for nutplates to make the navs/strobes easier to remove without even taking off the wingtips. Installed nutplates. Reprimed. Reinstalled the navs/strobes to both tips. Added a little flox to clean up the visible area of the inside trailing edge of wingtips nearest to the ailerons. Added peel ply and let it set up. Once dried, reinstalled wingtips. This is a milestone. Wings and Empennage are fully done (aside from mounting to the fuselage).
