Brief Description: Re-do of short aileron pushrods
Unhappy with welder's work on pushrods. He ground down the welds inappropriately and these were just not airworthy. Fabricated new short pushrod tubes. Drilled tubes and fittings to #30, working my way up from #40 holes in increments. All edge distances within spec. Primed inside of pushrod tubes. Riveted with AN470-AD4-11. The new -11 rivets were longer than Van's versions and shop heads look very good and are within spec. Despite the redo and double work am much happier with these. Came out perfectly. Primed exterior surfaces and painted gloss white.
