Brief Description:  Test flights, transponder

Stopped at ACE and confirmed they have aluminum stock that will work for my visualized new design for aft headliner support and baggage compartment upholstery.

Safety wired oil pressure dome nut and oil screen. Performed pre-flight inspection and noted right wing quickdrain would not stop dripping. Made a one-hour break-in flight at high (2500) cruise power, drawing fuel from right tank. Noted oil pressure rock steady at 45 PSI and temperature at 150.

Topped off left tank only and flew to Saratoga. Picked up the KT-76A transponder purchased from Condair Flyers, installed it, and flew home. Got a good transponder check and correct altitude read-out from Albany Approach. Ran a post-flight PAPR report. Still getting partial failures on NIC and Mode 3A.

Observed crankcase breather drips a bit after each flight. Also, numerous small particles are discharged from quickdrains and gascolator after every flight. Should we attempt to flush the tanks somehow?
