Welcome to my experimental aircraft web site. This site will chronical the construction of a kit-built Vans Aircraft RV-8. I hope my friends and any fellow RV builders who come to this site enjoy it. Specs: The RV-8 is a 2 seat all metal (riveted) kit aircraft. The airplane is an excellent all around performer, capable of aerobatics, short field takeoffs/landing, or extended cross-country flying at 200 mph in IFR conditions. As of this writing there are over 7200 RVs (of differing models) flying and over 1000 RV-8s. It is very reliable and fairly straight forward to build for a high performance aircraft. Also there is an excellent "support group" of folks that have built, or are building, an RV. As a footnote, there are more RVs flying than there are Cessna Citations (all models).
