Brief Description:  Rolled Elevator Leading Edges

Rolled the leading edges of the left and right elevators today. The left one went really well. There are three sections on each side, separated by a cutout for the rod end bearings that attach the elevators to the horizontal stabilizer. When I duct taped and rolled the leading edges of the rudder I rolled all three sections at the same time and it was very difficult. I later read on other builder's sites that they found it easier to only tape one section at a time, making it easier to roll the smaller section of skin. I decided to do that and the left elevator rolled easily and the rolls all matched. Tried the right elevator after lunch and it was totally different. The rolls didn't match and it took roll after roll to get all three sections on one side to match up. The other side was the same but they finally aligned after I was just about to give up for the day. My hands are sore from the effort. I riveted the left elevator leading edge and will do the right one tomorrow.
