Brief Description:  Finished 1st Piece of Tail :)

Finished the horizontal stabilizer today. Used the pneumatic squeezer and riveted the left, right and center rib-to-skin rivets and the rear spar-to-skin rivets, on the top and the bottom. It turned out very nice and strong and weighed almost 17 1/2 lbs. A lot lighter once all of those clecos were removed. Hung it on the wall until I get to the elevator.

But the next step in the build process is the vertical stabilizer. I had previously started the vertical stabilizer while I was awating a replacement splice angle for the HS. I had temporarily assembled (with clecos) the understructure and skin of the VS and match drilled all of the holes. This afternoon I took it all apart and started deburring the numerous holes.
