The cable is closer to the control cable diameters for this T handle with a center push button lock and its bend radius is greater than the typical heater cable. The parking brake is up high on the firewall and I had to come down from above to activate it. After playing around with all sorts of mounting options, the best for me was to mount the T handle on the panel centered 16 inches left of centerline, at same height as switches (1 inch above bottom of panel). The T is 2.25in wide and the pullback is 2.75 inches to have the parking brake lever hit the limit stop locking in the brake fluid (if I remember to press brakes before pulling the handle). Trimmed the cable from 8 ft to about 5 feet. Oh, and I chased the little ball bearing and inner spring all over the garage floor when I pulled the cable out to cut the sheathing. Didn't know about those little things inside the cable. Do now! The push button is positive lock so no cable creep.
Panel mount works real well for me. Thought about side wall but rejected that.
Cable is on right coming under the sub panel curving up and center before down in front. 3 clamps.
You push brakes then pull this handle to the stop to set parking brake.
