Dremel right angle attachment threw a rod. Getting a free replacement in 2 days. Continued cutting out second Skyview without the Dremel attachment, just the cutoff wheel. Worked ok. Squared it up then installed12 nutplates to secure the two skyviews. First nutplate was very hard on a throw away 6/32 screw so I gently tapped these nutplates to help out without removing the clamping force. That solved it. I will also use vibra-tite on the threads to keep them snug. Decided to cut out the ELT remote and tested the install on that. Excellent. Finally, I nestled the center stack trays in place to be sure the sub-panel opening was right. It was so I'm good to go to get the stack and 4 panel support ribs installed.
Used NAS1097 rivets to install nut plates. They are so easy to use.
Wanted the ELT remote to be in my visual scan. This was a good spot.
