Brief Description: Connected trim motor to wire run
I considered heat shrink solder connection, ring terminals on a block, D-Sub connectors, or simple D-sub heat shrink tubing to make this 5 wire connection. I chose heat shrink tubing D-Sub pins without the attending D-Sub connector hardware for simplicity sake. There are 2 white wires which determine forward and reverse motor motion. The VPX can electrically reverse polarity to allow the trim to function as intended. So, when I pinned the two white wire sets, I reversed the male/female pin on one set to maintain correct polarity if I ever removed and replaced this trim connection. That way I cannot reconnect the two white wires backwards. Staggered the connections slightly to keep from making a thick bundle and then used black heat shrink followed by longer clear heat shrink so I can see it. Permanent mounting was accomplished with adel clamps to limit vibration.
5 connections ready to shrink wrap in clear.
Connections complete. Ready to clamp to rear deck for stability.
