Brief Description:  Left Aileron fitted

Finally able to take left wing out of storage and set up on wing jig. I also took the opportunity to roll all the ''stuff'' outside and blow out the garage floor. I have the finish kit/FWF box (4x8') sitting on mover's dollies. The wing jig is on wheels, and the fuselage is on temporary wheels.
In the years since the left slow build wing was done, I decided I liked the white epoxy primer and so we have one wing in yellow etch primer and the rest of the aircraft will be in white primer. Used the dremel cut off wheel to remove the excess rear spar material outboard of the most outboard rib. Then, the outboard aileron hinge bracket can nest right up to the end of the rib and rear spar for riveting. Since the top skin was already riveted on, I slightly tucked a hack saw blade between the top wing skin overhang and the rear spar to protect the wing skin from the dremel wheel. When that wheel hits the hack saw blade, sparks fly and I know to proceed very very slowly to finish the cut. Then I filed the rear spar up and down until the file also started removing the yellow rib primer. That told me I had a perfect 90 degree area for a flush fit to the bracket that gets riveted there. I'll reprime that area before fitting and riveting the bracket. Also, I rasped out the rear spar hole to allow full movement of the aileron connecting rod as I make final adjustments.
To do: Line up the neutral positon of the aileron. Prime exposed metals. Make spacers from 058" 5/16 T6061 tube. Rivet outboard aileron bracket. Place flap. Drill flap hinge to wing skin/flap brace. Remove aileron and install up stop block. Rivet aileron gap seal. You're never really done...
