Brief Description:  Arm Rests - Instrument Panel Angles

Any builder will understand when I say I am tired of not completing jobs because you must wait on X until you do Y which you don't do until you finish Z, etc. So, you make parts and then they just hang around cluttering up everything forever. OK.. Rant is over. I pulled out the arm rests and was considering adding some form of angle stiffener to the underside based on several stories on the VAF website. Then, along came a couple builders who said they never put any stiffeners on and don't try to use the arm rests as leverage points when entering or exiting the aircraft. And, they make sure passengers understand not to try to push themselves up using the armrests. There was my answer. Just build it according to plans and it will be fine. So, I finished the arm rests and riveted them in place today. Job done. Painted the instrument panel mounting angles, installed the nut plates and riveted them in place. Done. Next time I will rivet them in place before I add the nut plates. The nut plates interfere with one of the mounting rivets and I had to use a pull rivet in the middle hole of the three mounting holes. Its all good.
