Brief Description:  Rivet F631A - B- E Together

Rechecked 42 1/16 (for me) width and riveted the doubler plate to the forward roll bar halves. Rested it on top of some 3/4 board pieces to let me get the rivets and squeezer under it. Could have just taped all the splice plate rivets on and used a back rivet set with a backing plate, but I chose this way. Removed the wood screws holding down the two F631A halves, put the long connector strips in with clecoes, weighted the whole thing down with cleco buckets and started riveting it together with AN426 AD4-5s. I had to remove primer from all countersinks with a deburring tool and also ran a #30 bit through each hole to remove that primer paint. It was that tight. Everything came together very nicely. So far.. I have a couple heads that sit just slightly proud but I will flush shave those two. You can see how crowded I am right now. Parts hanging everywhere after drying. I have a new appreciation for airlines ''space available'' policy.

If I did it again I would get a pneumatic squeezer with all the right yokes. But this one works.

Debur every hole to remove primer paint. Makes riveting so much easier.
