Brief Description: Torque and Safety Wire Prop Bolts
The propeller bolt torque is between 60 and 70 ft lbs. I chose 65-foot lbs and tightened all 6 bolts. Whirlwind Propeller Co. installation manual calls for 032 Safety wire. The bolt heads are actually nuts that have roll pins inserted which receive safety wire through them They are called bolts. Every 2 bolts get wired together. Workspace is tight underneath each bolt head but 032 wire passes between the head and the hub with a little patience and some lube..
