Some tidbits. I used AN426A3-5 SOFT rivets on the wingtips. They form much easier, using much less pressure and yet hold perfectly, protecting the fiberglass from squeezing damage. Of course, all the metal wing holes were dimpled and the fiberglass holes were countersunk. If you are installing an Archer wingtip antenna, remember to position and match drill the antenna to the hinge. I also added one 7/16 wooden dowel to the upper inside of each wing tip for strength. The fiberglass moves up/down easily without some reinforcement. One dowel epoxied in place did the trick. I weighted it down until the epoxy set. Undecided if I will glass over the dowel.
West Marine Epoxy 105 plus 205 is a burgundy color
2 pumps of each was enough for 1 dowel
Every bucking bar and hammer head I had held it in place to dry.
