Brief Description:  Fix Boost Pump and Test Flows

Good news all around. I solved the Andair boost pump failure I previously experienced. The pump would struggle to start and then just stop. Cycling the on/off switch just repeated the situation. I removed the Andair pump and fuel filter as a group and installed an earlier design Andair PX375 which was the same size and plumbing. This pump also had trouble starting up the flow. It also hadn't been run in 10 years. However, I hand primed the fuel line to start the process and this pump roared to quiet life. Three flow tests all produced the same answer. This pump puts out 40 gallons per hour rate of flow. My testing requirement is 1.25 times maximum engine demand, which by formula, results in 20.625 gallons per hour to pass. Test result 40 GPH was more than enough.
Then, I took the original Andair PX375-TC pump which I had removed and decided to flood spray it with KROIL penetrating oil. After 15 minutes, I rigged up 12v power and tried this pump again. The damn thing fired up and sprayed all the oil out. It was quiet and powerful. So I put two gallons water in a bucket, and rigged up an intake hose to test this pump's flow. The pump came alive and pumped out most of the two gallons in about 3 minutes. It was a total success. Its going back in the airplane as the boost pump. My point is that the odd noises both pumps exhibited was lack of suction and shutdown. Lubing the entire inside solved the issue. I can't believe I was considering buying another Andair pump. And, Andair has been non responsive to me about giving me any discount if I actually decided to buy another pump. If I had returned it to them, they probably would have did what I did anyways.

14.5 ounces in 10 seconds. Math says 40.7 GPH. Same results after 3 tests.
