Brief Description: Rigged Fuel Lines to measure fuel flow.
Need to verify the electric boost pump can output 1.25 times max takeoff fuel flow for the IO360 180 hp engine. I removed the fuel line from the fuel injection servo and clamped it with hose and fittings to a graduated plastic container. The idea is to run the electric boost pump to verify it can pump 20.625 GPH rate of discharge. Turned on the boost pump. Its an ANDAIR PX375-TC from 2010 timeframe. Never run, but stored until installed. Pump ON.. No joy. It runs for 3 seconds and stops. Power off and back on, same result. I contacted Andair and was told that pump has had many improvements since 2010 and they don't have the 2010 parts. However, they are willing to look at it to see if it can be saved. We'll see. Did I say very frustating. I cannot even find another new pump. Out of stock everywhere. What to do now?
Electronic ignition switches in place and checking current panel status. All good.
