Brief Description: Install Horizontal Air Intake Plenum 4
The mixture arm ended up restricted by the air plenum when the plenum was final fitted. So, with heat gun in hand, I ''dented' the conflicting area to ensure clearance. Beyond that, I had to re-clock the arm and if anyone knows whats involved there, you'll understand it took awhile. You can't simply reclock the arm. Movement of arm must touch the ICO and full rich stops. I had to adjust the main cable mounting stops, lengthen or shorten two bearing attach points on the threaded rods, change direction of one middle bolt with new spacer on the mixture bracket, etc etc. Actually was a complicated series of multiple adjustments to get it to operate from stop to stop. Got it done.....
Clearance good after denting the plenum using heat.
Sufficient clearance after re-clocking and adjusting everything.
And then everything had to be retorqued and cotter pinned.
